Mrs. Devin Stanford is honored and humbled to serve as the Principal of Winding Creek Elementary School, where she is deeply committed to supporting the students, families, and staff with care, purpose, and pride each and every day.

Her journey with Winding Creek began in 2017 when the building first opened, and she was part of the founding team that helped shape the school's vision and mission. From that moment, Winding Creek has been her professional home, and she has cherished her time as a Kindergarten teacher and as a member of the leadership team.

Mrs. Stanford earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Shippensburg University in 2007. She began her teaching career at Ithan Elementary School in the Radnor Township School District, where she taught for seven years. During that time, she earned her Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Neumann University. After relocating to Mechanicsburg, she taught at both Monroe Elementary and Sporting Hill Elementary before becoming part of the Winding Creek community.

Following the completion of her Administrative Certificate, Mrs. Stanford served as Assistant Principal at Winding Creek, a role in which she developed a deep commitment to serving students, staff, and families. Now as Principal, she is honored to lead the building and continue fostering a supportive and enriching environment for all students in grades K-5.

Mrs. Stanford is a proud resident of the Cumberland Valley School District. She lives in Mechanicsburg with her husband, Darnell, who also works within the district. Together, they are excited to watch their children grow and learn in CV schools.

Outside of school, Mrs. Stanford enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and traveling—especially to the beach. She values strong relationships and never misses a chance to make a new friend. She feels incredibly fortunate to lead a school community she loves and to do meaningful work every day.
