Transportation for Kindergarten Students
Buses: All Cumberland Valley School District students will be assigned an AM and a PM bus to and from school. A few notes that are specific to Kindergarten students:
AM Kindergarten students will be picked up at community stops with other elementary students residing in the area. AM kindergarten students will ride one of 2 or 3 buses home at the end of the AM session. When possible, AM kindergarten students will be dropped off at their homes.
PM Kindergarten students will be picked up at their homes whenever possible and will ride the buses home with the other elementary students at the end of the day. They will be dropped off at the community stops.
Extended Day Students will be picked up and dropped off at community stops with other area students.
Kindergarten students will not be dropped off without a parent or authorized guardian present to receive them. If no one is at the bus stop or visible at home, the student will be returned to school.
Children attending the YMCA will attend the PM kindergarten session and ride to school on the YMCA bus. Children attending Tender Years will attend the AM kindergarten session and ride a CV bus to these childcare facilities for the afternoon.
Parent Drop Off/Pick Up: Children may be dropped off and picked up by parents according to the times listed for their school day. If a child is a parent pick-up, we ask that you send a yellow note in with him/her at the start of the school day.
